Nearby / GeoNames Tokens

Turns GPS on a photo into nearby place names. GPS itself comes from <exif-gps-lat> / <exif-gps-lon>. Nearby Country / Region / Place also appear under Geo.

Language

A bare token uses Options → Geo-location → language (English by default). Add lang= to pick a language for that token, for example <geo-place:lang=de>. Changing Options updates bare tokens. Use exactly two letters. Anything else is a format error.

Blank vs preview error

No GPS → blank (no network call)
Lookup with a missing field → blank
Network or rate-limit failure → preview error

Account and cache

Options → Geo-location → GeoNames username defaults to the built-in account (fbmfr). Use your own username for a private quota - see How to get a GeoNames username. Results are cached so the same coordinates and language do not spend credits again.
